INTRODUCTION
Organizations in general each have a very different mission to serve community. It can be somewhat overwhelming to look at all of the various nonprofits and discover which ones support causes that you feel strongly about. Luckily, we've taken a look at some of the most prominent charities and grouped them for you!
CHARITY TYPES
While individual nonprofits within the following groups will differ in their specific missions, these categories can serve as a good starting point if you're looking to learn more about charitable organizations.
1. MEDICAL, HEALTH, AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
Charities that fall into the medical, health, and scientific research category strive to find causes of and cures for diseases. They also help to develop new treatments and technology that can aid in these efforts.
