The Center for Financial Empowerment is a private-public partnership collaboration that unites the public, private and philanthropic sectors in providing new and innovative financial education, tools and programs to financially empower the family, business and community groups in building private and community wealth.
The Center delivers high quality products and services to the family through the workplace and community organizations that empower and enrich the lives of employees and community-group members.
The Center for Financial Empowerment is a fiscally sponsored project being incubated by Inspired Life Centers, Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity. The nonprofit incubates start up social enterprises through seed, venture and capital phases of development. Inspired Life Centers Incubator Program offers social entrepreneurs business development support and early stage, seed funding.
During this stage of development, Inspired Life Centers Inc., as the fiscal sponsor for the Center, provides leadership and seed funding. Administrative management, products and services are provided by Family Office Benefits, LLC.
Initial funding has been provided through a grant provided by Inspired Life Centers. Additional funding will come from corporate sponsorships and foundations to complete seed funding prior to a formal launch of the Center for Financial Empowerment program.
During 'incubation' it will be determined whether The Center for Financial Empowerment will retain a 'nonprofit' status or become a forprofit entity. New legislation has recently been passed providing for a hybrid form of legal status, the low profit limited liability company, ("L3C"). This new form of legal organization opens ownership and capitalization opportunity for foundations and private capital investors.
